LIVERPOOL CEMETERY – KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER
The imposing new St Padre Pio Garden Mausoleum, is anchored in the south east corner of Liverpool Cemetery, and the heart of the Liverpool community.
The L-shaped design embraces a lovely landscaped burial lawn on the forecourt. The tall vertical white panels will have bronze plaques attached depicting the Way of the Cross. The panels lead from the buildings northern most point to an intimate chapel for services.
The chapel features a skylight over the cross that allows daylight to reflect on the curved polished walls, whilst reminding us of Christ’s ascension to heaven. A bronze statue of St Padre Pio, depicted with his bandaged hands raised to remind us of his stigmata, is located at the building entrance.
MODERN DESIGN INNOVATING BURIAL TRADITIONS
Designed to set a new benchmark in above ground burial innovation, Catholic Cemeteries & Crematoria and Ignite Architects have created this light filled, environmentally sustainable building. This stylish garden mausoleum offers a range of beautifully appointed crypts, including family vaults and a range of configurations to choose from on each level. The upper levels are accessible by lift, pedestrian ramps and stairs. The crypt capellas provide views over the cemetery, and the landscaped lawns create a beautiful setting.
LIVERPOOL CHAPELS
Liverpool Cemetery offer 2 chapels – a multi-denominational chapel open to all even if they are not cremated or buried within the cemetery and a second chapel located in the St Padre Pio Garden Mausoleum, that features a stunning skylight, crucifix and statue of Mary.
LIVERPOOL CONDOLENCE LOUNGES
Liverpool Cemetery offers a modern and large condolence lounge that provides a place for remembrance after a funeral or cremation service. Clients have total flexibility and can self-cater or use one of our professional catering partners.
