The death occurred suddenly in Sydney on March 15 of Mr. Angelo Bachali, late of Bomen, at the age of 80 years. He is survived by one daughter, Athena (Mrs. Sallos) of Five Dock, and two sons, Constantine of Leichhardt and Arthur of Bomen. The late Mr. Bachali, who was of Greek nationality, was in business in Lockhart some thirty-five years ago and only of recent years did he dispose of his Lockhart properties.

Angelo Bachali, arrived in Australia in 1898.

He was born on the island of Lemnos in 1870,

and migrated to Australia via Egypt.

He married Olga Barbathi in Alexandria.

The couple was blessed with three children:

Athena, Constantine and Arthrur.

Olga found it very difficult to adjust to her country way life in Australia

and suffered multiple illnesses.

Her mother, Kadro, came to Australia from Alexandria, Egypt,

to help her look after her and her children.

Olga sadly passed away on the 18 Sep 1925

[she is buried in Wagga Wagga Monumental Cemetery].
