and teacher of Byzantine Music at the College of

St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College

 

Born in 1929, in Limassol, Cyprus.

He migrated in Sydney, Australia in 1951.

Antonios Aristodemou was a virtuoso chanter who taught and celebrated the liturgical music of the Orthodox Church in Sydney and Adelaide respectively. To honour and recognise his significant contribution, the Ecumenical Patriarchate bestowed upon him the title of Archon Protopsaltis.

He sadly passed away in December 2000 at the age of 71 years.
