Fotis Papadopoulos

A giant and legend of Sydney Olympic FC has lost his life.

Born in Vatopedi Ormilias Halkidikis, Greece on 23 March 1935
Passed away in Sydney on 30 June 2020, aged 85 years.

Before his death, Fotis Papadopoulos was member of the first-ever Sydney Pan-Hellenic team and one of the most iconic fans in the stands during NSL and NPL eras. Life member, after his playing days he rarely missed a Sydney Olympic match.

Born in Vatopedi Ormilias Halkidikis, Greece
On the 23rd of March, 1935
Nikolaos and Despina Papadopoulos.

In 1955 he migrated to Australia.

At age 25 he married Alexandra Perris
and he was blessed with two children
Nikolaos and Alexandra.

At age 40 he married Christina Giannopoulos
and was bless with a son Antonios,
Two daughters-in-law Koula and Athena, and
Six grandchildren Alexandra, Costa,
Frank, Sophia, Christina and Fotis.

Photios sadly passed away
On the 30th June, 2020
Aged 85 Years.

Φώτιος Παπαδόπουλος

Γεννήθηκε στο Βατοπέδι Ορμύλια Χαλκιδικής,
Στις 23 Μαρτίου, 1935
του Νικολάου και της Δέσποινας Παπαδοπούλου.

Το 1955 μετανάστευσε στην Αυστραλία.

Στην ηληκία των 25 ετών παντρεύτηκε
την Αλεξάνδρα Περρή και απέκτησε δύο παιδιά
τον Νικόλαο και την Αλεξάνδρα.

Στην ηλικία των 40 ετών παντρεύτηκε
την Χριστίνα Γιαννοπούλου
και απέκτησε έναν γιο τον Αντώνιο,
δύο νύφες την Κούλα και την Αθηνά, και
έξι εγγόνια Αλεξάνδρα, Κώστας,
Σοφία, Χριστίνα και Φώτης.

Ο Φώτης απεβίωσε
Στις 30 Ιουνίου, 2020
στην ηλικία των 85 ετών.
